Painting of our lighthouse
I painted this at Hank's class and I'm pretty happy with it. Lots of my paintings have hit the trash, been given to friends or family, or been put in the attic. This one I kinda like and it's our own little nonfunctional lighthouse in Bridgeport, CT. Hope you like looking at it. Here is the link for the lighthouse. :) I have lots of pictures of us walking the rocks to the lighthouse so maybe I'll put some of those here, too. There is a long breakwater (pileup of huge rocks) and it's fun to walk on it in the summer. See the lighthouse WAY WAY in the distance? The dogs are with us, too, and my granddaughter.

Very nice painting. It looks very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThat is truly one of the sites I miss the most about New England. I love the shoreline and all the lighthouses along the way that give comfort just knowing they are there. I happen to love your painting very much.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I LOVE your painting!! I am always so impressed when someone can paint a picture, putting the image in their mind down onto the canvas!! Fabulous. Lighthouses are so fascinating. I will have to click on the link above when I am done commenting.
