Last year I made some fun feathers out of paper- pretty scrapbooking paper, that is. Take two pieces of paper, cut out in the shape of a feather… Then put a pipecleaner in the middle and glue everything together. Make slits on either side as shown in the pictures.
I think I picked out some pretty papers What fun cutting them to look like feathers. I so thoroughly enjoyed this! I didn’t know what I was going to do with them but one day I saw the paper feathers on the dining room table and I was trying to declutter and I popped them in the spring flower arrangement in the center of the table. Wala!
So I stuck the feathers in and around the flowers and I really, really liked the way the whole thing looked.
This is a little hummingbird on a wire attached to a small cylinder with a battery and it vibrates the wire and makes the hummingbird look alive. It doesn’t get turned on very often but I HAD to have it when I saw it at the Flower Show in Connecticut some years ago. It’s also in the Spring Bouquet.
Hope you all enjoyed this.
Having fun at these great parties. Join us in the fun!
