Polka Dot Square Wreath – Bright and Pretty

Every since I found out how to make use of old picture frames by turning them into square wreaths, I’ve been having a hay day! I wrap old frames with fabric (of which I have an inordinate amount), the variety is endless as to what I can make.

Oh, and the white flower? Coffee filters – 4 of them, squinched together in the middle, hot glued and then ruffled out. Unreal how easy it was. When you make coffee tomorrow take 3 or 4 coffee filters and try it out. You’ll love it. I do.You know what this means? I’m going to  be doing more of them. Maybe a round wreath with lots of coffee filter flowers...

.

I made a pocket of green fabric, basically with a glue gun. :)

I cut the fabric into 4 inch strips and go around and around the frame using hot glue to secure to make the base of the wreath. I showed how to do it on the post I Finally Joined the Square Wreath Revolution.

This was my first square wreath. I went around the house finding things to “try out” on the wreath. It was great fun.

Best wishes, everyone!

  3. Great ideas. Love them both. I'll be watching for some beat up cheapy frames. It won't matter what they look like since I'll cover them with fabric. This is so great. Kinda neat making a rectangular or square wreath, like idea of that mucho.
My favorite is the wreath with the birds nest. No limits on what we can do with this. Thanks for sharing. Happy Week
