How I Turned Two Old Stools into a Refreshingly New Side Table

DIY Dining Room Side Table!
I bought two old wooden kitchen stools at a tag sale for $5. for both. I wanted to do something with them. Here is what I came up with. I thought I had a picture of the stools before I painted them but NOT. Dang. Anyway, here it is.

Stool table 3

I sprayed the wooden stools with a bright pink spray.

Then I covered the top of the stools with this bright fabric.

I had a thick piece of glass left from a glass top table I used to have (I knew I saved it for a reason!).

I used an electric staple gun to attach the fabric to the stool

Since the staples didn’t go all the way into the wood so I used a hammer to hammer them all the way flat.

I tried lots of different things on the table for decoration but I really, really liked this square vase that I picked up for free after a tag sale was over. I happened upon a tag sale  at 3 P.M. and the people were hauling everything out to the curb. I was happy to get quite a few nice things... this square vase was one of them. It’s hard to see because it’s a glass vase on a glass table.

I’m going to put little silicone buttons under the glass to keep the glass firmly in place.

I love the reflections in the glass, don’t you?
