DIY Farm Animals Cow Pumpkin
I had LOTS of fun making these fun pumpkins. For the cow I used a glue gun, a small piece of stiff white felt and a little faux leather and you have a really cute bovine. :) Country Living Magazine is where I found inspiration for this project. There aren't many projects that come together this easily and have a big impact. My grandson of 3 years is enamored of farm animals and he loves this cow. Moooo
The important thing to remember when picking a pumpkin to make a barnyard cow is to have a great "bottom" because the face of the cow will be on the bottom of the pumpkin. I basically cut out leaf shapes for the ears out of a brown faux leather from Joann's. I used the same faux leather for the nose. I have a huge bag of sunflower seeds and used them for the nostrils. I didn't have buttons or I would have used black buttons for eyes so I used brown M&M's. I used a stiff interfacing for the muzzle but I think stiff white felt would have been okay, too. I made the little horns from white clay.
Altogether, I rate this a 5 star craft because it came together easily and makes a big impact.
