Cutest Owl Made from Pumpkins and Scrap Paper

Cutest Owl Made with PUMPKINS!!

There is a lot of fun at this time of year.  I can think of one project after another but having the time to execute them is another thing. ha ha

Anyway, here is one thing I wanted to share with you all.... my owl made from pumpkins.

Last year I made these Piggy Pumpkins.

And this Cow made from a pumpkin also.

This year I wanted to make another animal and was inspired by some owls I saw on the internet.

The first thing I did was find 2 pumpkins that could act as a body and a head and spray painted them white.

Then I cut out lots of small circles from scrapbook paper to cover the front of the owl's body. I started at the top of the owl's body and kept working my way down to the bottom of the pumpkin. I love all the colors and patterns.

I wanted to make big eyes also from the scrapbook paper and each eye different of course. :)

The beak was made with 2 different pieces of  scrapbook paper so it looks like his beak is open. I thought that made the owl look more 3 dimensional.

I cut out some wings out of  scrapbook paper also. I cut 3 the same for each side of the owl's body. Initially I had only 1 piece of paper but then decided that it needed a little bit more..

I cut out some leaf shapes for the ears and added some greenery I found around the house for the top of his head and to hide the depression left from cutting out the stem...

Oh, also, when I glued one pumpkin on top of the other I wound around some string to hide the gap.

Hope you are inspired to create something this week. Best wishes,

I've got some other fun stuff, too. Actually, quite a bit of fun things for Fall. Turkey pretzels, Turkey cheeseball, Candy corn Mason jar, beautiful succulents on pumpkins, and cute frozen banana bites that look like miniature pumpkins!

I've had so much fun making pumpkin animals including piggie pumpkins
cow pumpkins, and a very cute owl pumpkin. I've made a mother goose and her babies and
I'm in the process of making a hen and a rooster pumpkins- maybe tonight...
