We are in a heat wave here. Super hot and humid at 97 degrees. Yuck. The good news is that it should break in a day or two. Yay. I have to find projects to do inside the house because it's too darned hot to do any outside gardening or primping outside areas.
We've got some really cool (literally) things to do and enjoy this week and then much more will be shared at the Thursday Favorite Things Party.
I used to do lots of canning of vegetables and jam ... The Small Batch Pickled Beggies by Thistle Key Lane looks so delicious and pretty that I am seriously considering making some.
The Lemon Mint Water by Nancy C looks so good, doesn't it? I love just a splash of lemon in icey water. Mmmmm.. Adding mint will just top it right up to fabulous, don't you think? We used to have mint all over the backyard. It was like a weed and then we got a lawn service and bye bye weeds and mint. Maybe I'll buy a few mint plants and start the cycle again. ha ha
The Homemade Popsicles by Claire Justine look absolutely wonderful! I'd like to make these also and my family would love them...
On the creative side we have The Painted Apron who gives a fabulous tutorial on drawing and painting lobsters and other sea creatures. She has a coloring printable also which I quickly printed out for the 2 little grands. Sum of Their Stories blog does a recycle for a journal and it is AWESOME. I'm so making these, too.
Debbie Dabble blog has some really fun patriotic decor and she shared her Victorian dollhouse decked out for the 4th of July.
